Institution verseeing all aspects of compliance and academics, Jon Fagg joined the University of Arkansas as senior associate athletic director for compliance and student-athlete services in June of 2008. He serves as member of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics' Executive Staff. In addition to compliance and academics, he also supervises the office of Student Life which offers community services, personal and professional development opportunities to more than 450 Razorback student-athletes and serves as the sport administrator for the university's soccer program. Fagg joined the Razorback staff after spending the past seven years at North Carolina State University. Hired at North Carolina State in March 2001, he served four and half years as an assistant athletics director for compliance before being promoted to associate athletics director for compliance in the fall of 2005. While with the Wolfpack, Fagg's responsibilities included coordinating all aspects of the NCAA compliance program, including rules education for intercollegiate staff and related university personnel, and advisement, education and interpretations regarding NCAA rules and regulations. Prior to his tenure at North Carolina State, Fagg spent three years as the assistant athletics director for compliance at Fresno State University. He also served one year as director of compliance for the Big South Conference. His first athletics administrative experience came at Mars Hill College where he handled compliance duties as well as serving as an assistant coach for the football team for three seasons. His coaching experience also includes stays at Davidson College andt his alma mater, the University of Arizona. Fagg and his wife Amanda have three children: Jon Madison (11) and seven-year-old twins, Reed and Ellie. |
