CLEVELAND -- The members of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) elected to have Amy Folan, associate athletics director for compliance at the University of Texas at Austin to serve as president during 2009-10. Folan takes over for Judy Van Horn, associate athletics director/senior woman administrator at the University of Michigan who served as President of the Association from January 2008-June 2009. "I look forward to building on the momentum that the association has built over the past one and a half years under the direction of Judy," stated Folan. "I look forward to working with our officers and Board of Directors to help our association become a national voice on major compliance issues and continue to be a resource for the NCAA and our membership.” Also elected to serve as officers for the 2009-10 were Tony Hernandez, senior associate athletics director at the University of Miami (1st Vice President); Kate Hickey, senior associate athletics director/senior woman administrator at Rutgers University (2nd Vice President); and Christian Spears, senior associate athletics directors, Northern Illinois University (3rd Vice President). Also elected to the Board of Directors for 2009-10 were: Dan Bartholomae, assistant athletics director – compliance, University of Pittsburgh; Julie Cromer, director of academic and membership affairs, NCAA; Joseph D’Antonio, associate commissioner/compliance and governance, Big East Conference; Jon Fagg, senior associate athletics directors, University of Arkansas; Brad Hostetter, director of academic and membership affairs, NCAA; John Morris, senior associate athletics director compliance-student development, University of Washington; Chris Peacock, assistant athletics director, University of Illinois; Shondell Reed, senior associate athletics director for internal and external operations, Colgate University; Wendy Taylor May, senior associate athletics director/SWA, University of California San Diego; Tricia Turley, associate athletics director for compliance and student services; and Josh White, assistant athletics director for compliance and planning, University of Nebraska. Selected to serve as ex officios during 2009-10 are Erin Kido, assistant athletics director – compliance, Xavier University; Donna Sanft, executive associate athletics director, University of Pittsburgh; Lori Smith, assistant athletics director, University of Texas at Austin; and Josh Snyder, associate athletics director, Iowa State University.
