2010 NAAC Convention 'Call for Proposals' PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 11 November 2009 15:49

CLEVELAND -- NAAC is accepting proposals for session topics to be presented at the 2010 Convention at the Marriott Hotel in Anaheim, Calif. on June 21-22, 2010. Sessions are generally 45 to 60 minutes in length. Proposals may be submitted for the entire group at the Convention (estimated 250 people) or for smaller breakout sessions.

This year, NAAC is specifically looking to offer several "best practice" breakout sessions presented by day-to-day compliance professionals covering various compliance related topics. If you feel your policies/procedures or monitoring efforts set an excellent standard within a particular area, please consider advancing our profession by contributing to a breakout session.  All proposal submissions are welcome!

Each proposal will be reviewed by the Education and Professional Standards Committee and forwarded to the Convention Committee for review. Proposals must be submitted by December 31, 2009. The individual listed as the contact person will be notified of the status of their proposal no later than January 30, 2010. There is a limit of two proposals per applicant. This is done to encourage collaborations and partnerships among the compliance community.

Please note, in order to keep the registration rate low for our members as our organization grows, NAAC does not pay for the cost of travel, hotel or meals expenses for its Convention speakers. In many cases, the institutions or organizations of the speakers support the mission of NAAC by covering the aforementioned costs.
