The Eligibility Center is excited to announce the launch of a new resource for member institutions that will be accessed through the Legislative Services Database for the internet (LSDBi). This portal will provide member institutions better Institutional Request List management and enhanced searching and reporting capabilities. Also launching June 29 will be a new student-athlete Web site and registration process for prospective student-athletes planning to enroll fall 2010 and later. The new address for the Eligibility Center will be www.eligibilitycenter.org. The new Web site will provide prospective student-athletes and their parents a fun and interactive environment along with information and guidance throughout the registration and initial-eligibility certification processes. Please note, high schools will be directed to use the current Web site to update core courses and attest to fee waivers. Access to the existing Web site will continue to be available for prospective student-athletes enrolling prior to fall 2010. It will also continue to provide member institutions academic and amateurism information for fall 2009 and winter/spring 2010 enrollees if they choose to use it. However, there are many benefits to the new membership portal that are not available in the current Web environment. Please log into your institution’s Eligibility Center account for a detailed guide (with screen shots) for the new member institution portal. We strongly encourage you to read through this guide for directions and helpful hints on navigating through this system. In order to answer any questions you may have about the new portal, the Eligibility Center will be hosting question and answer sessions via teleconference June 25 and June 29. Information regarding each call is listed below. New Membership Portal Q&A – Session 1 New Membership Portal Q&A – Session 2 |
